Anyone watching the CMA Festival?

So far I'm not enjoying it at all.

Did like Miranda and Carrie but the rest of it {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

We're watching. You can barely hear the girl singing with Blake Shelton.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I know. Every time they perform that song you can't hear her.

It's great to see Blake tho!

A friend of mine went to Fanfest last month and was at this, up in the nosebleed seats.

Re: Anyone watching the CMA Festival?

I'm nowhere near a country fan so don't know any of the performers except for some of the big name stars. We started watching because nothing else of interest is on. Well.....THIS is country? Tats, mowhawks, head banging, etc???? DH said Ernest Tubb, Roy Acuff, Hank Williams Sr would roll over in their graves. Lol. Don't mind me. As I said, not a country fan, but am surprised at what is considered country now, that is all. Peace.

Yep. Most of it isn't really country anymore. Sadly. There are a few performers I still like but tonight is a trainwreck IMO.

I just turned it off.

I'm Happy!

I will change the channel to the HONY Reunion in a minute. It's moving kind of slow.

I love McGraw/Hill's song "Meanwhile back at mama's". Luke Bryan is adorable. I'm glad I saw this thread, I didn't know this was on. I hope Eric Church sings "the Outsiders". It's one of my favorites from him.

Re: Anyone watching the CMA Festival?

I actually started a thread in Entertainment - go figure - then saw this one! I was never a big country music fan, but love the direction it's taken, incorporating the rock influence but still telling stories. Thoroughly enjoying the show, one great act after another! And it doesn't hurt that most of those country guys are HOT!
