As we watched in another day of anticipation Friday morning, April had not gone into labor by 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

We were out for a few hours, running errands and having lunch. The SECOND we walked in the door, I grabbed my iPad to check on April. 

I also checked on April when I woke up at 2:30 this morning and couldn't sleep. 

And then again at 5:30 when I got up for good. 

Then again at 9:00 when I came home from walking.

Well, maybe today April will have her baby.  The baby was doing "cartwheels" last night ... perhaps getting into position.  I have to check the live-feed later - I/we have some major yard work to do.

I just came in and checked the live feed and her veterinarian's update. DH says it will happen fast. Giraffes don't lie down to give birth!

I went and walked this morning (I walk indoors) and propped my iPad on a table so we could check on her as we walked!

@LTT1, I have the site up and keep checking ... April must be tired.  I've watched her a number of times try to "lay down", but it never was for very long.  Regardless, it hasn't interferred with her eating

This is going to be a sneaky, in the middle of the night birth!!  I think if it's a female they should name her "Aly" for Alyssa.. she loves her so much..   

My husband and I watched her in with April last night- how sweet when Alyssa would rub April's stomach and give her/him kisses..
