Re: Anyone watching 48 hours now?

I believe the husband killed his wife. I do wonder if he planned to kill his wife and frame his friend or if he killed his wife during an argument and then decided to kill his friend to cover it up afterward.

The problem the defense had was coming up with a motive for the friend to have killed the wife. The video of the friend arriving didn't show a man who planned to kill someone. He seemed more like a man who was going to get the money he needed to pay his bills.

Parker senior seemed like an intelligent man but the son seemed not too bright.

I believe he had pre planned it all along. He gave the gun to his friend weeks before and then told him to come and get the money he owed him. The affair with the bank teller, $127,000.00 in debt and the one million dollar life insurance policy were great incentives to kill the wife.

Not the husband's motive, that was obvious, but what motive did the husband or defense give for the friend to kill the wife?

That he was angry about not receiving the twenty thousand plus in the book making business. Remember, there was on;y a couple of hundred dollars in the safe at the time. The husband claims he was in the bathroom when he heard the shot go off - he ran upstairs, saw his wife dead on the floor, grabbed the gun on top of the safe and shot the man he said shot his wife.
