She spoke without knowing the facts.
All she had to do when asked ""what's going on in this kid's head ?"" was to say ""I don't know.""

These talking heads are paid to speculate. That's all she was doing. She clearly was not offering a diagnosis.........just some possibilities.

TV ""psycologists"" and ""psychiatrists"" and so forth do that sort of thing on tv every day. Where's the outrage before?

No worries, tomorrow there will be hand wringing on a new inane topic, lol.

If someone is offended by something, they’re expressing their personal experience, their personal reaction. Stop and think about what causes a person to react -- it might trigger a visceral emotion caused by experiences or people in their lives. But it’s not up to us to judge them and criticize or throw sarcasm their way, just because we don’t feel offended. It’s so easy, and so common, these days to label it “political correctness,” to laugh at people for expressing their opinions. To me, that seems to be the popular put-down to anyone with whom we disagree, to anyone whose reaction is different from our own. With all due respect, I think it sounds dismissive, an attempt to degrade or insult a person who simply expressed their feelings, their reaction.
In this situation, as in many others, my opinion is that we have too many therapists in the media trying to fill the 24/7 television stream, one sound spit after another, creating less understanding and more confusion and disruption. These issues are far too complex for tv talk shows or brief hot-topic segments. Thus, in my opinion her remarks are polarizing and not necessarily helpful, other than perhaps to advance the discussion about parity, loving and accepting one another, and trying to understand each other without vitriol.
I’m not a big fan of Robi Ludwig or her credentials and approach, but that comes from being married to a psychiatrist and listening carefully to his views. She has her fans, and that’s perfectly normal. I just don’t happen to be one of them.
And, yes, that’s my rambling opinion. ymmv.(edited by me to correct my grammar)
Bears repeating imho
