Eterna is supposed to be guaranteed. I recently sent them a bracelet that was originally purchased at QVC. They sent me a bracelet in exchange that is definitely inferior grade. It doesn't even have the signature infinity logo link at the closure. I am definitely disgruntled. Is anyone else?

Years ago I gave up on the promises of Eterna Gold being better after WAY TOO many purchases. I sent back many items under the warranty and NEVER received a replacement of the same article of jewelry. Never got a call asking what I may want in exchange and never a word of a refund. They sent me a ring in the wrong size and also replaced a yellow gold bangle with a white gold, much thinner one. Their claim that it doesn't scratch is a total falsehood. That is the reason I returned many bangles and rings. I even had a wide band ring split in half. Forget about trying to speak with anyone on the phone either.
I DO NOT recommend Eterna Gold.

My one purchase turned out to be far more hassle than it was worth.
The chain broke within months. I sent it for repair with the required fee. My broken chain was returned with a form letter requesting the required fee. My personal check was cashed. You cannot reach anyone thru their phone number at any time of day. I mailed a copy of my cancelled check trying to get my money refunded; no luck with that either, so I tossed the chain and declared myself done with this company.

Many years ago, I returned a bangle that had dented. They replaced it with a brand new one, exactly the same style. But, that is when the company was family owned. Whenever a company is sold find that the quality and customer service is
gone.
In fact, I have a bangle that won't stay closed, but, I am not sending it back for fear of what I might get in replacement.

I don't buy anymore, as I have plenty of jewelry.
But one time I had a piece that broke. It was pretty new - earrings, IIRC.
I contacted EG about it and was to wait for a call back. That didn't happen and, since they were new, I just ended up sending them back to QVC and got a replacement, a couple weeks later.
A couple of months after that I got a call back from EG. Uh, thanks anyway.
That experience did teach me a lot and I haven't purchased anything since. The older stuff that I have has been very good quality, beautiful gold.

@grandma r I've fixed lots of clasps like that myself. It's a simple and easy task to adjust it.

I have several pieces of EternaGold purchased way back, when it was still the original company (before it was sold) and Ted Leach was the vendor who always appeared on TV.
I've never had a problem and to this day the one piece I wear, every single day, is the cat ring I got in white gold with emerald eyes. Still beautiful, still shiny and I get compliments on it all the time. People always want to know where I got it and I have to tell them, they can no longer get it. My only regret is that I also ordered the yellow gold with sapphire eyes, but the Q sent me the wrong size and I returned it. It was only one ring size out and I wish now I'd kept it.

The exact same thing happened to me some years back. It was a squared-off bangle bracelet. Guaranteed not to dent. Well, sure enough, it did. So I sent it to them, and they sent another lighter-weight bangle in exchange, claiming they could not repair the dents. I was so upset and wanted to fight them about this, but they had taken an inordinate amount of time getting back to me in the first place. I did not have an item number or a photo, so I felt all hope was lost.
But swear off EG I surely did!

Years I ago, my husband purchased for me, a wide bangle bracelet I'd been admiring for quite sometime.
In the presentation, it was said, the bangle would not dent. (they banged it on the table) After a few years, there were a number of dents in it. I decided to take advantage of their guarantee. It was not an easy process, I made numerous calls after a fairly long wait.
I was told they could not fix the dents but would send me a new, comparable bracelet. When it arrived, it was half the width and a fraction of the gram weight. Needless to say I was not a happy camper. I was told the bracelet they sent was the same price my husband paid. In those few years, the price of gold skyrocketed. They insisted the bracelet was comparable. Of course when I requested the return of my original bracelet, that was not an option.
I never purchased Eterna Gold again.
