I have this problem.  It relates to sudden pressure in my neck where the vagus nerve runs, so whenever I laugh too hard I pass out.  I also have to be very careful because vomiting makes me pass out as well.

My son has a condition like this and has a service dog that alerts him when he is about to pass out.  Some days he has to use a wheelchair though.

I've had 5 episodes of ths in my life, either stress or pain causes it for me.  The last time was a year ago, I was prepping for a colonoscopy and because I'm very sensitive to any medications, the pills they gave me to take the night before caused aot of pain and I passed out in the bathroom and in the process sprained my ankle and wound up in the emergency room.  I had the first episode back in the mid 1980's and subsequent ones spread out over the years.

I agree. That is why I included in my other post, that a doctor needs to diagnose it as such.  

My post was to clarify that because a person passes out(faints), does not automatically mean they are afflicted with this same medical issue.

From reading more about this diagnosis, it usually let's a person know that  they may have an unknown underlying problem, even some type of serious allergy. 

Maybe I should have made my post a few paragraphs longer to better explain!
