I guess we have lived through so many storms, we know how to handle it.
GO BILLS !!
Yes I agree. Some were calling the snow in VA a blizzard. It was NOT a blizzard. Anyone who has been in an actual blizzard would know that.

My son flew from Los Angeles to Charleston because after his grandparents dying this year he wanted to be with family for Christmas. No problems getting home. He isn't vaccinated either. He suspects he had Covid in December 2019. He was very sick and went to the doctor who didn't know what he had. He works at Paul Mitchell around many, many people and he has never gotten Covid. People can scold and make blanket statements but that fear mongoring doesn't work on everyone. I even got Omicron this past month. A very bad cold so for me it's back to living. If you are scared stay home but to think we all have the same mindset is not logical.

Fully vaccinated means nothing. The vaccinated and unvaccinated are getting and spreading the virus. It is not a good or safe time to travel.
On top of that the weather has been bad. There are people trapped on the highway and in a train in the Wash, DC area and flights are cancelled.
There are so many entitled people out there acting stupid....even some who are giving us rules to follow.. I don't feel sorry for them. They should know better and use common sense.
If you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.
I agree with you 100%. It is STUPID AND CRAZY to travel during the holidays. I guess the IDIOTS who did travel this holiday season DON'T READ or LISTEN to the news. SMH!!!!

What news would that be? Hmnnn critical thinking is a must especially when one calls others idiots. It might have been idiotic for you to travel, others with no poor health conditions not so much. It would be idiotic for me to work my whole life to finally retire and hide from life over a 99 percent survival rate.

Travelling these days on an airplane is a **** shoot. Voluntarily going during the holidays is asking for trouble!
In September my 3 hour flight and travel day lasted 14 hours. There was no storm anywhere to impede any flying. I have to go again in May and am seriously considering driving the 1900 miles for my sanity.

I live in Calif., But I always carry dog food, a case of water, dry people food, blankets, sweaers, change of clothes, boots, a first aid kit, a real to go bag, because of fires, or just getting stuck somewhere. Even depends.
I feel for all these people, but don,t people prepare? Especially in today's world.

My husband flew 10 times back and forth so 20 flights in 2021. Nothing. I flew to Texas and back and so did my whole family for a wedding, 30 people. Nothing. My son flew to Calif for a funeral. Nothing. People are traveling. Weather? That's always been an issue. You do you but the rest of us will do us. Easy easy.

They had about a foot of snow, enough to cripple the DC area without even taking all the holiday traffic into account.

An outrageous statement. People will go back to work after they isolate a minimum of 5 days and only return after having no symptoms or a negative test result. Airlines follow CDC recommendations. They have every right to be healthy and safe, as do their co-workers. They're not slaves to the flying public.
