I've had the Fitbit One for 3+ years.  It's a clip-on device, which I like.  I don't want to wear anything around my wrist.

I wear it every day...have to charge it about once a week, for an hour.  I've had no problems with it, other than almost losing it a few times!  If I were to lose it, I'd buy another one the same day.  this works for me, and I won't be without it.

I have a Fitbit Charge HR and love it. I'm constantly checking my steps throughout the day and my steps/heart rate when I'm on the treadmill.

Since I'm on my laptop every night while watching tv, it's the perfect time to plug it into my laptop to charge it. I could easily go a full 2-3 days without charging it, but I like to keep it fully charged.

@Daisy Sunflower  Did you know it is better to let a battery charge down before recharging it? If you recharge it daily, the battery will not last as long.

You can go 5 to 7 days before recharging safely. Your fitbit account will notifiy you if your charge is getting too low, so you do not have to charge it every day.

Yes. I like to keep my Fitbit Charge HR charged because there have been a few times when I had let it run down and didn't recharge it in time for when I'd be out walking or on the treadmill. So far, no problems. Depending on how often I would look at my info, it would last about 2-4 days.

Just got the email that the TSV is now Garmin and not Fitbit.  After researching them all, I think I'm pretty decided on Fitbit ONE.   Sounds like those of you who have it like it and I'm not really sold on the wristband types. Thanks for sharing.

Had my FitBit Flex for over two years and I put a lot of steps on that Flex. DH is now using it as I bought a FitBit Charge and am using that. I pre-ordered the FitBit Blaze right after it came out; I don't have it yet. I don't mind the wristband...it's not a big deal to me.

I like FitBit; they're a good company to deal with.

Last summer my Flex bit the dust and I couldn't get it to charge at all. I called CS and the guy there took my name and phone number. He looked me up and knew that I had had my Flex for well over the year for the warranty; in fact, it was over two years old and I never tried to deny it. We talked for a while and then he said, "You can expect your new Flex in about a week!"

And it took about a week, but I got it. Free of charge and free shipping. Their CS is truly wonderful.

ETA: A charge on my Charge lasts me about a week. I usually charge the FitBit on Sunday nights, along with my iPod, so they're both ready to go for the new work week. Sometimes, I may have to charge it again come Friday night, but that's rare. I can pretty much go a week with no trouble. It was the same way with my Flex...Sunday nights it got connected to the computer for charging and that was pretty much it.

I know several people that have them and they all have one complaint ... uses lots of battery power and they are constantly charging it.  I wanted one but I held off.  Lots of times with new things on the market I don't want to be the guinea pig for them.  So if you wait they eventually work out the bugs and before you know it, a new and improved version comes out.

I had a Zip that used lots of batteries...so I switched to the One, which is rechargable. I prefer the clip on versions because I don't want to wear a wristband at work.

LOVE my One...it is very motivating.

@Kristy66 same here - got it for Christmas and I love it.  The clasp is secure, it has never fallen off and I charge it about once a week.  Really easy.  They have a great app too.

It depends on what you are looking for in an activity tracker. Do you want it to just count steps? Measure your heartrate? What about GPS?

My sister had an extra FitBit Charge, so I wore it for a week. It was fine, but I personally did not feel like I needed it to stay motivated (I already run and work out regularly). I gave it back to her to give to someone else. I hated that you had to charge it every few days. The app was cool though, and being able to compete with other FitBit friends was fun.

I already have a Garmin with GPS for my runs, so I feel that's enough. I don't care about daily steps because I assume I'm getting plenty.

I agree, Daisy! It's all personal preference. I don't like to wear a watch all day. I don't like the way it feels on my wrist. I just wear my GPS watch while I run, and I really only want to see how far I go and my pace. It has a heartrate chest strap that calculates about how many calories I'm burning.

Almost everyone in my family has a FitBit and loves it. My son has one and really gets into the challenges.
