thank you JB for your post........I totally agree with you and my cousin by marriage lived in a tiny country town and so I was not too surprised she was not welcome. Manners are important......and she is a country girl........lol
I know I would do really well in those places and how nice you can speak French.........Oh I love that language and the cities........maybe one day I can go visit. I even like the way they use words like transport instead of taking or going or driving.........motorway instead of highway.......thank you for sharing. I am very big on manners. I do have to say that at times though on these boards I have not had the best manners.

I don't think I can fit one more show in. Turned it on for a few minutes.
I really liked Mistresses and was not disappointed by the new season.

I so hope that you will get to visit Europe soon. London and Paris are my favorite cities. I'm sure you would have a wonderful time in both. And I'm sure that you would be well-received in Paris especially if you try to learn a few French words or phrases. The French love foreigners who make an effort to learn a bit of French before visiting. You will get a much warmer reception if you try that. And you don't have to have a perfect accent. The effort alone will win you points
Have to say that the Ladies of London were quite interesting. The British ladies seem to be very snobby. But there is obviously a standard of behavior that they feel they need to follow. The American ladies don't seem to try to observe and fit in so they are not popular so far. Don't know why the Brits hate their exuberance. Don't like that the Brits ridicule them because of their behavior. Would like it better if they tried to offer advice so the new girls could try to fit in. Have never known ""high-class"" people so guess that is normal. Not very kind though.

I watched and I thought it was boring.
I wound up sitting there trying to see if I could spot my friends apartment on the
Thames but they weren't in that area much except for a couple of shots of Big Ben.
zzzzz....zzzz
I also got tired of the American being put down.

I watched one episode.....it was just like all the other ""Housewife"" shows. Silly and ridiculous. I can't figure out what people see in those shows.

The Housewives shows used to be a lot better when they first started. They've now become so fake and staged. I don't know how many years ago the first one came out. Ten years maybe? I thought it was a look inside an interesting group of ladies, but the dynamic has changed.

....and I was thinking just the opposite about Americans being like trained Stepford Wives. I thought the British women seemed more that way. The loud mouthed braying woman was no Stepford for sure!
