I went to the site for the first time, and thought about all the unworn shoes, makeup, jewelry and clothes I have in my closet. I have been donating to a neighbor's church, but honestly I think I should try to recoup some of the $ I've spent. I have tended to shop for the life I live in my imagination, not my for real one.
Anyone ever sold on this site?

I just saw someone selling used panithose on the site, that was a huge turn off

I have been considering selling on Pohmark too. I have boxes of never worn shoes and purses and this would be great. My understand that I photograph and set price then send to them they post it on their site. When it's sold I ship to buyer and when it's final the pay me a certain percent. My son sold Gucci shoes on The Real but it takes forever to get paid.

I tried it several months ago.
I think the business and logistics concept is very smart, and it's very easy to list and monitor your items.
I listed a handful of brand name coats, in excellent condition, most of which had never been worn, but did not have the original price tags on them.
I got quite a few "likes" on my items, though no sales, despite lowering the prices multiple times, to almost nothing. After 3 weeks, I removed my items.
In my experience and opinion, it was not even remotely worth the effort. I'll just sell my items locally next fall, or donate to a charity thrift store.
I have no idea why my items did not sell, other than it seems like they got lost in the millions of listings.
If someone was looking for a very specific brand/size/color/type of item, this could be a good resource.

3 weeks isn't enough time, it's not quick money by any means
but everything isn't for everyone

that's a teeny, tiny blip on the PM universe, and not indicative of what it's about
and if there's a buyer for that and a seller it's not my issue

there are a bunch of FB groups for Pmark
a reddit group
and lots of sites if you want to get into it.
I just jumped into it one day after mulling it over for a year, never looked back
sold 200+ things out of my closet

when you get a buyer you send it to them with a label
you get paid when buyer accepts your item.
that's the basics

I have not used Poshmark but my sister's friend uses it a lot.
I have used Platos closet and Clothes Mentor. They are or were brick and mortar stores that were near me. I have not done this in some time so I do not know if they are around.
I do have a number of sites that I sell my books that I have read and no longer need.
It is always helpful to have some money come in at some point.
I do not have an income coming in due to a health issue and have been helping over the past years helping to take care of others in my family.
I decided that 2020 was the year for self care.
Not easy to do-- but trying.
