Re: Anyone else uncomfortable with this term?

That term has been the favorite of teens in and out of school hallways for decades. Technically it's a transitive verb, so it should have a direct object after it. Thank heavens the students never came to that realization or they would have been uttering something much more graphic, and it's a word lesson I never chose to take on. This is an instance where a teen expression has seeped into popular culture and is now appearing on television, in print, and a myriad of other places. Origins of the expression and its meaning are many and varied.

Exactly, Urban Dictionary definition #8.

It's use as a transitive verb by Kristen on Vanderpump Rules is the reason she was fired from her job at Sur!

i find it strange that the OP is uncomfortable with the word she mentioned but had no problem using the term (because she could not spell it out here) ""go ........ yourself"" TWICE two days on another thread!

lol! I didn't read the thread in question but this was the best comment on the thread.

And I stick by what I said.

I have no regrets at all.

Understood. But just out of curiosity, did it make you cringe?

I saw it. It was the standard dogpile and Hyacinth had had enough. I don't blame her, either.

Re: Anyone else uncomfortable with this term?

it was not a pile on, it was people disagreeing with her on that thread.

She was trying to make a point about something that upset her, and in the process was doing the very thing herself that she was complaining about.

I didn't see the other thread but I don't doubt there was pile on. It is ironic that the same word practically with just a different letter in front of it can make her cringe but not the other which has a little harsher meaning behind it. I don't dislike the OP at all, I have no dog in the fight but it is hysterical that s u c k s makes her cringe, but f * * *, not so much.

Y'all saw what you saw and I saw what I saw... and I saw a dogpile over a couple of typos.
