I must be odd, because crapton is not a biggie to me either, lol.
That word just means "a lot" when you boil it down.
eta: not that I use the word, but I will be honest and say that I have been known to use "shoot load" (not really shoot, but another sh word)
Maybe there is something wrong with me?

I don't like the slurs used against women. Yes, that includes those used in some music, and it also includes those used by some politicians and radio broadcasters.

What about the ones used against men? Prejudiced much?

I don't think it's a biggie either. I was just pointing out it's a word that the Urban Dictionary has fun with. And I don't think you're odd at all, alhough I might not be a good judge in that category!

That term has been the favorite of teens in and out of school hallways for decades. Technically it's a transitive verb, so it should have a direct object after it. Thank heavens the students never came to that realization or they would have been uttering something much more graphic, and it's a word lesson I never chose to take on. This is an instance where a teen expression has seeped into popular culture and is now appearing on television, in print, and a myriad of other places. Origins of the expression and its meaning are many and varied.

It doesn't offend me per se, it was a word that was off limits I guess. It was considered very bad.
And I like what the poster said that using it in an article isn't very creative. A much better word could have been used to discuss 401K's!

And it's so unnecessary. Most of the time it seems to be just a thoughtless response with no context.

i find it strange that the OP is uncomfortable with the word she mentioned but had no problem using the term (because she could not spell it out here) ""go ........ yourself"" TWICE two days on another thread!
