On 9/14/2014 KathyPet said: yes it love everything Ken Burns does and have been looking forward to this series. The Washington Post reviewed the series and said it was one of Burns's best series. The reviewer made a interesting comment. he said that after watching what both Teddy and FDR accomplished during their time in office it saddened him to see how little present day President's are able to accomplish during their time in office even though the reach of the Federal government has increased many times over since FDR's terms.
PBS had an interview with Ken Burns on this series a while back and he strongly pointed that out. It was a great interview and really peaked one's interest in wanting to watch the series.
He also said that between the two Roosevelts, they created more social programs than at any other time or by any other poititicians.
He suggested that we pay attention to how many were created that are STILL functioning *today* and helping so many citizens in so many ways.

Yes, I'm recording.
This reminded me of 2 national parks we have visited in the past. The first is Roosevelt/Campobello International Park shared by U.S./Canada. Interesting summer home for the Roosevelts. It is beautiful this time of year.
The other is Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. When you see it, you understand why he loved the outdoors. If you go, you need to plan ahead because it is kind of tricky regarding lodging. You are definitely out on the prairie with little towns interspersed pretty far apart.
