Another hot day here. Everyone keep hydrated and check on the neighbors who may need help. Try to stay cool!

i'm in northern ca and it;s pretty hot here too with no cooling down in site.  i think it's scary because i have asthma and i have things that i have to do.  thank heavens for ac!

Northern CA coast melting too and another hot one today. My birdbath has a turn away crowd. Please everyone keep those water bowls, birdbaths and hummingbird feeders filled. Hope El Nino is on the way.....but then come the floods and landslides! It's always somethin' when you're living on the fault line.

We'll be close to 100 again here in LA, but exactly one week from today, it'll be in the mid-70s. Yippee!!!!

It is a cool 75 at eight am. Waiting for the pavers to come. I am totally exhausted it never cooled below 75 last night. finally fell asleep around four.

While not a major help when it's hot, this is a nice little tip ......

Next time you wash your hands, don't dry them on a towel .... wipe your wet hands on your bare arms and/or legs .... the evaporation of the water on your skin has a nice cooling effect.

Sounds silly, but do try it.
