I prefer paper statements. I open them, put the amount owed and the date on the envelope, and all those statements in their envelopes go in a basket on my chest in the bedroom. When I walk by in the morning I can see if I need to make a payment that day.
Also, I have been keeping track of my outgo vs my SS income since I started SS last year. I like to do that all at one time, and looking up all the individual statements on the computer I'm using to track these things is a big hassle. I don't have that much screen room.
I got my letter regarding my Synchrony CC and my Lowes account (managed by Synchrony) and haven't used either of those accounts since. I can get the military discount on Lowes using my husband's phone number which is the same 5% discount you get for using the Lowe's card. I haven't received a letter concerning my Belk account though.....yet. I am thinking about at least complaining to Lowes about it though since they just sent me a new card.
I have no bills that require me to pay via automatic withdrawl. I pay online for all except my Credit Union CC which I can either drive to and pay or pay via a withdrawl from vy Credit Union checking or savings if I don't want to make the drive. I just don't want to pay that one via my regular checking account since there's no control over how long it takes to get there.
I still write a check to church.

I do not receive any paper bills and I did not receive a letter. I don't need the bill to pay and saves me from having to shred as well. I just go on line and pay my Q card. Lately I have been pushing bills ahead so I can get done with the easy pays.
I would not pay for a statement either. They get us coming and going.

@Barbiedr wrote:Yes, and when I called customer service they abruptly said if I wanted to discuss this I could call the bank. I always pay my bill on time and in full. When I added up my EP over the next few months it only came to $225 total. I could easily pay it and be done with them but they probably wouldn't get it right. I will stop shopping and just pay the bill until I owe them nothing.
For people who sign up for paperless statements, does this mean they have to pay online as well? I don't pay anything online or do any online banking.
HSN has a feature on your e-z pays to pay now if you don't want to wait til it's due. I set up e-z pays sometimes on purchases. After I receive my purchases sometimes I go in to click on pay now so I don't have to deal with it.
Check QVC to see if they have this option if you want to pay it all now.

I tried to give you more hearts but it won't let my? LOL!!!
After going through the file cabinet shredding everything & burning up my shredder I don't want the papers either. I did buy another shredder.

@kaydee50 wrote:@Pamita Have them email your bill. We haven't gotten a bill in the mail in decades.
Banks are not going to send your statement by email. That's not secure.
They will send you a link when your statement is ready to view or pay.
You have to login to your account to view or pay your bill.

I called customer service and I had them change all my easy pays to a different card.
