Re: Anyone else having an odd-feeling week?

@GingerPeach This has been a strange week for sure.  The temp here is currently 72 degrees, Sunday it will be 26 and a high of 30.  Yesterday there were tornadoes and flooding in the area here in Mississippi and Alabama.  Also, I have lost 3 friends this week so yes, odd feelings for sure.

@GingerPeach    Yes. It has been an "OFF" week for me too.... with the holidays... the no mail days.... and then all the very cold weather and on top of that  over 7 inches of snow...   and no newspaper delivery for the past week because of the snow... it has just seemed rather like a blur of too much going on.  Everyday has seemed like Sunday....

@GingerPeach   You are not alone.  LOL

For some reason DH and I keep thinking a day ahead.  It just seemed odd for Christmas to be on a Saturday.  I don't know why it just did.

So Saturday felt like a Sunday, and since Sunday felt like a Monday, we were ready to put out our recycle bin on Sunday night for Tuesday pickup.  LOL

I opened our refrigerator the other day looking for a box of humidifier filters.  I knew I had purchased them and when I asked DH if he had seen them he said "No" and said "Do they work better when cold?"

Ha!!!  Of course they were in the household items closet.  LOL

Re: Anyone else having an odd-feeling week?

I haven't been sure what day it is for two years. Today the mayor of my town really messed me up.  He calls every week with the dreaded covid update and others news. Today the call started with, Today is Friday, December 30. I spent the next hour thinking today was new year's eve and how did I lose a day.

I'm sure those are for multiple houses, @shoesnbags

We get black  (landfill) and blue (recycling) with green for organic waste.

I found in looking for trash/garbage can pictures on the internet, cans everywhere are starting to look alike.

@GingerPeach  Our garbage cans are green, but they're for landfill type garbage.  The recycling bins are small, open retangular things.  If it rains on pick-up day, all of the paper inside gets soaked.  Don't know whose idea it was to use open bins, except that maybe they're cheaper.

Boomernichols, I am so sorry for your losses.  My bf's dh passed away in May.  It's been a sad time for her, myself and my dh.  We have celebrated NYE together for so many years as her & I met in HS.  Can't wait for 2022 to get here as the last four years have been rough.  I never seem to know what day of the week it is.

I think the week in between xmas and NYE is always odd-----not a fan of either holiday and always very anxious for it to be done.
