Since it's just my husband and I now in the house, I remember what a real estate agent once said to me:

           How much dirt can two people make?

so I ease up on rigorous cleaning.  Just do the essentials.

Feel this way all the time. I am reminded though, that there's another person here who is perfectly mobile and able to swing a mop, the same as I am able to start and push the lawn mower.

We no longer argue about who's chores are who's. We just get it done together and save the arguments for big stuff- like where to have dinner, how to get there fastest and where to park 😉

Years ago with very young sons, I was teaching full time, cleaning all day on Saturday,  most of Sunday was church or traveling there and back.

I was exhausted!

I got a wonderful lady in the area and she and her crew cleaned for me for decades.

I had to search a little, but I found Maid Pro, a national company with a 50 point check list!

They even spray the inside of your oven which I opted out of.

The two unused bars get full cleaning 1x a month.

Our bedroom,  all bathrooms and downstairs get cleaned every two weeks, trash out,  and clean sheets.

The company checks back every time to make sure that  you are happy!

Wonderful,  especially during the holidays!
