Re: Anyone else feel Lost in translation?

My fone is prepaid and I have tons of txt mssg units. I go through voice minutes too quickly so I like to send and get texts. Voicemail uses minutes too.

I don't get why some have their mobile phones turned off most of the time? Are you trying to save battery life? I charge every few days. It's ok to let the battery drain down a bit.

I don't understand shutting the phone off either and missing calls and texts.

I'm not glued to my phone 24/7, but it seems that some get so worked up over technology.

Re: Anyone else feel Lost in translation?

I text all the time & keep in touch with family in California that way. A bell rings when I received one so I don't miss a call. I also do FB, Instagram & Snapchat.

Th ones who can't miss a text or call are the ones who get so worked up over technology. They are also obsessed.

I can miss a call or text, the point is I pay for the plan so I am going to use the phone.

Re: Anyone else feel Lost in translation?

I'm confused...if the phone is turned off, how do you receive phone calls? If it's turned off not to receive text, then it's turned off to receive calls....moot point, yes?

I think some people just like to be...different. Being a "sheeple" isn't good for a lot of things, but when it comes to technology & communication, I want to be like everyone else. Safety in numbers. You will be left behind.

No, it still goes to voicemail. If it's important leave a message. Oh and BTW some jobs require you to at least have your phone on silent if not off and you can't check your phone while on the clock.

Also some people leave their phones on all the time because they don't have a landline.

Re: Anyone else feel Lost in translation?

At night, I set my phone to Do Not Disturb. Any calls, texts, or emails that come in are silent. The only way the phone rings is if you are in My Favorites.

I'm not on my phone 24/7, but I am accessible at all times to my family.
