Anyone been to Sicily?

Hi, I'm looking for feedback from those of you that have traveled to Sicily. I love Italy and have been there a couple times. I have the opportunity to go to Sicily but I'm on the fence because I originally planned a different trip to Italy and those dates didn't work out but the dates for this trip are good for my schedule. You don't hear much about Sicily when people talk about travel to Italy so I wanted to see if anyone hear had any personal experiences.
