I was going to post something but changed my mind.

me too, Lotus, but then I thought how can I make tis a lesson.

I settled on telling myself that things like this only serve to point those of good heart even more firmly in the direction of peace and equality.  To keep fighting the good fight. Focus on the goal. We'll get there some day.

Re: Anyone Watching The Funeral Services?

Well I just finished watching and what a tremendous service!!  Although it is so very sad, I am also very touched by the overall message here for all of us.  And what a lesson these beautiful people and family members have put before us. What an opportunity to learn from them and to be inspired by their graciousness, forgiveness, dignity, and integrity.

I caught a replay. The rendition of Amazing Grace, along with naming the victims, brought me to tears.

I just watched it again on MSNBC.  He brought me to tears as well, for the second time today... he is such a wonderful orator on these kinds of occasions as well as others.  I will sorely miss him when he is no longer in office.

Re: Anyone Watching The Funeral Services?

The prayers and singing were wonderful and fed my soul.

POTUS was exceptional and so inspiring. His message was what our nation needed to hear. Those of good will live those words and act accordingly.

This old white Baptist woman found it very inspiring.  I am so glad that I watched it.  I pray that it will have some positive affect on some of those around me who do not see life from the same viewpoint that I do.
