Tonight's (Tues.) episode is supposed to be a shocker, and the previews show all of the women crying. My guess? Sharleen comes back.

Big surprise.

The two of them are so perfect for each other... the boring Sharleen and and boring bachelor...... the two of them make the show a real snoreZZZzzzzZZZzzzzz

Re: Anyone Watch the Bachelor Tonight?

I have come to the conclusion that anyone who participates in this program with a young child is a sleazeball and absolutely has ulterior motives, money being at the top of the list. I don't care how "nice" Renee appears to be, that goes for her too. Any parent should be ashamed to expose their young child to this type of thing either directly or indirectly.

Andi's father is the sanest person this entire season. If I were a parent of a contestant (and these are still young adults for the most part we're talking about), I would strongly discourage my son or daughter from being on the show and I would certainly have the same feeling about the situation during the home visits: How can you sit with me and tell me you love my daughter and you also love 3 other women? This is not reality. It should be called unreality tv.

On top of all this, Juan Pablo is just plain ugh.

Re: Anyone Watch the Bachelor Tonight?

Ok, I'll try this again since I tried twice before and got the error message. We'll see what the "shocker" is tonight and I'm sure the "women tell all" will be very interesting next week.

As for Renee, IMO, she's the most "normal" girl there and as much as I felt sorry for her last night, she's probably better off that he didn't choose her. I'd like to see her as the Bachelorette, although I'd be surprised because she would have to spend more time away from her son, Ben.

Clare..... I am so waiting to see her leave the show. She bears no resemblance to her sisters and the one they kept showing last night (I think her name was Laura) was just being difficult IMO. It's like she wouldn't let her mother even speak.

I can understand why Andi's father said what he did and good for him. He doesn't want his daughter to get hurt.

As for Sharleen, I got the impression from her that she was on the 'uppity' side and not even sure why she came on the show.

I guess we'll find out tonight.

I just went and read what happens tonight, JP is a jerk.

It was fun seeing my hometown last night. The fountains are gorgeous. I will have to check out the bbq place, looks good.

I wish they wouldn't have contestants/lead with kids. Also, I would like to see a gay bachelor, males.

Re: Anyone Watch the Bachelor Tonight?

I wonder if someone can address this.....in all the years I have been watching, I have never seen a hometown visit where the house was a dump or even middle class. Most seem lavish, well appointed, very clean, etc. Are these the actual homes of the people involved ? Also, is the food prepared by a caterer who also supplies table settings, etc ?

I always wondered about that too. I've never seen an apartment either. All single-family homes and the meals are like banquets. Who does all this cooking? Certainly not mom, who has to spend her day thinking up an interrogation..... Who does that anyway? Certainly not my parents, LOL..... Especially with a guy who is with 3 other girls and the parents are asking him if he's "serious"?????? Are THEY serious?????{#emotions_dlg.w00t}

Once or twice, I've seen them get together like a picnic style meal at a park. Those are the ones who don't want their homes shown I guess.

What was with Laura and "Mom"???? At first, I thought there was something wrong with Mom and she was a little "slow" - but she sure knew how to talk and she did it well.. I don't get why the other sisters didn't stop Laura from meddling. That made no sense unless it was all a set-up....

I would assume a caterer comes and sets up. I have seen one or two houses that were very middle class, but it does appear as if most are more affluent.

During Sean's visit to Catherine's home last year, I was surprised to see that the home appeared to be cluttered and not very tidy. The kitchen window had a scarf-like piece of material tacked to either side of the window with the countertops covered with dishes, etc. There is nothing wrong with having a small home since not everyone is wealthy, but I thought the home, especially the kitchen, could have been cleaned up a bit more to present a better picture.

There has been a hometown visit or two that did not take place in someone's home. If I remember correctly, I think Desiree's home visit took place in a park. I, too, have always found it strange that most of the home visits appeared to be those of wealthy people. Maybe it is carefully staged?
