Anyone, Kenmore Elite Washer?

I just purchased a top loading Kenmore Elite washing machine and am skeptical. It does two king size sheets in about 10 inches of water. Maybe I am just conditioned to have a lot of water but I can't figure out how it can possible get as clean. After they are washed it's hard to tell if they are clean or not because they didn't look dirty in the first place. Thoughts on this. Anyone have one? Thanks.

I also have a Kenmore Elite top loading washer, have had it for many years and it's been great. It's a heavy duty king-size capacity. Doesn't your washer have a dial to change the water level? Mine has a water level dial on the far left with setting from "small load" to "large load". Maybe the newer ones have some water saver mode but you should be able to override that. 10 inches of water would be a small load in mine and I wouldn't feel like it got my sheets clean, in fact they would probably get twisted and bound up. I always do sheets and pillowcases in a large load or the next setting down.

I have had one for years. The clothes do get clean. Because the washer is HE, it uses less detergent and energy, including water, to clean. I love the fact that there is no center agitator and things like comforters fit, well comfortably.

Skeptical? I felt the same way. Major buyer's remorse. This is not an inexpensive washer and dryer set. After weeks and weeks of playing around with the dials{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}, etc...I use only the bedding cycle. It uses more water...at least they're covered with water. Defeats the purpose but I know they're clean. Takes an hour for all cycles, so the time is the same, just more water.

I hope this helps.

No, it doesn't have a high low feature. I washed a king size comforter on the bedding cycle and it took 2.5 hours. It did get all the pink cough medicine out. I washed the other on another cycle and it looked clean. I am going to try a really dirty load tomorrow and see how it does. Thank you all.
