I'll bet you're smarter than a lot of people, nafecar! You knew enough to question the e-mail, which many people still don't do. When in doubt, ask. That's how most people learn.

Nafe, bless you, sweetie! I'm glad you came here and asked, and very glad you didn't click on the link. Those hackers are good at making things look "official".

I always look to see who is really sending the message.
Edited to say that I point to the sender and it shows where it comes from.

I hate when people use their age as an excuse. When in doubt, don't. NO reputable company is going to ask for personal information by e-mail. Never respond to an e-mail and if you do have a question, contact the company via phone. As posted, never click on a link or open an e-mail from someone you don't know.

I keep getting fake Kohls emails. They say I qualify for a Kohls gift certificate. I know it's not real though. I've also been receiving a lot of other strange mail recently. I just delete all.

ITA. DO NOT OPEN, and report this to Yahoo.
I had the same thing happen with another email account and I reported it and it was a scam. Had this happens with a bank too.

They are miserable in their lives and this is their pathetic way of coping. Happiness is a habit and some of the posters out here are despicable. glb613 and chrystaltree are so hurtful to others. Sad that they enjoy being rude and hateful.
