Anyone Else Watching the Lunar Eclipse?

I am up since about 1:00AM watching the eclipse.  We have a beautiful clear sky here.

I will be suffering tomorrow though!🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱

I got up at 3:45 am with the hopes of seeing it and clouds! Socked in. 😭😭😭 One good thing I got my laundry done! Have a great day all.

@4kitties

@godi

Up at 4:30 and caught a glimpse of it through the trees.  We are in a heavily wooded area, so, by then, it was too far down in the sky to get a good look through all the branches.

The universe and it workings are endlessly fascinating.

Re: Anyone Else Watching the Lunar Eclipse?

ABSOLUTELY!

Woke up at 12:30am - moon out, no clouds but eclipse had not started

Back up at 2:15am - cloudy - BUMMER!

Check every 15 minutes or so - still cloudy - BUMMER!

3:30 got dressed to go out to walk and about 4am it started to clear off and BINGO

It was just starting to come out of maximum coverage

Although eclipse is done the moon is just setting and so beautiful

So happy to get to see it

Yes, I got up just in time to see the peak.  It was amazing.  Definitely worth being a bit tired over!  It's just not the same in a photo.

So lucky to have clear skies over night.  The fullest part of the partial eclipse was at about 3:00AM here.  And since I am in the trees, it occurred high enough in the sky that I got a good look at it!

I tried to get a picture, but it did not come out.

Re: Anyone Else Watching the Lunar Eclipse?

I got up and went outside at about 230.  It was beautiful.  The moon was a rusty color with the brilliant crescent along the side.  It was COLD outside but worth it.  I'm always tossing and turning half the night anyway.😕
