@roxxy1 Also "I Mean" before every sentence.

It's not so much the phrase that bothers me but that supposed intelligent people cannot state their thought without first making this unrelated introduction to their thought.  I wonder why they feel it necessary.  It seems like an emotional crutch to get the thought started.

I am completely with faeriemoon. Starting SO many sentences with the word SO doesn't even make sense.

Content creator. You're a video maker or a blogger or a writer. Content Creator is just so diminishing and generic, like you're nothing but a cog creating content for the giant Internet machine.

Influencer is daft too. If you tell me you're an influencer, you're putting me on alert that you are trying to influence me. Maybe I don't feel like being influenced today. Don't call me, I'll call you if I want to be influenced, thanks.

@Porcelain : I didn’t see your post, and mentioned the same thing re: “influencer” in a later post. Sorry! But great minds think alike!

@jeanlake

Thanks for naming this annoyance.  I've never heard that term, but it drives me around the bend.

Once said, I don't hear anything else coming out of someone's mouth.

However, I'll note that it is frequently discussed here and said to be a "regional" thing.  I'm not so sure.  I hear it everywhere.  Agree that it should stop.

Re: Anyone Else Tired Of These Sayings

Funny thing (does that bother anyone?) Hubs and I discussed annoying words/phrases after I read this post yesterday. Both dislike response of 'jealous' as a response when someone shares something good about their lives. A toxic words for an otherwise complimentary expression. Either that, or we're overthinking it.

@Leggett28 : Yes, “sidebar.” One Q host says this all the time—so annoying. I only want to hear that if l’m watching a legal drama, and the trial attorney says, “Sidebar, your honor.”

I'm already tired of "OK, Boomer."    But this baby boomer certainly understands why millennials use it.

Never heard that one until I read it here yesterday.
