Anybody with a Ninja Foodi Air Fryer/Grill?

If so, please share your thoughts with me. I found one on Amazon that has 8 functions and it flips upward and out of the way. I like the idea, but this version does not have a grill. I found a Ninja Foodi 5 in 1 that has a grill and an air fryer and am considering that one. All of them seem to have a dehydration feature (like I need that) LOL.

Thanks in advance.

We don't own that particular product but we have a bunch of other Ninja products and we love them all. We recently bought the 13-1 air fry countertop oven and love it. We have a large air fryer, but this one is great for smaller things and also great for baking/toasting/etc.

I bought the 8 in 1 Ninja but returned it. As big as it was there wasn't a lot of room inside the oven. The recent TSV has more room inside. Even tho they flip up and away they still take up a lot of counter space - they're huge.

I think you are referring to the flip grill with sear plate? I have that model if so and the sear plate is great. Have made a lot of steaks with it.

The one that flips up is the Air Fryer Oven. Personally, don't care for that one since you can only cook flat foods.

---

I have the 5-in-1 which was the older of their Air Fryer & Grill models. I don't remember what function the 6-in-1 has that the 5-in-1 doesn't, but I'm happy with mine. It fits the space I have for it whch the 6-in-1 wouldn't and one reason why I bought the 5-in-1. The 5-in-one is deeper than the 6-in-1 so you can cook deeper foods in it, but, if I remember correctly, a whole chicken would need to be spatchcocked for either. I also like that the 5-in-1's filter screen covers almost the entire lid whereas the 6-in-1's only covers the smaller heating coils of the 6-in-1.

---

In my opinion, cleanup is not as easy as they claim. I like to use marinades, and the sugar in those stick even to the nonstick surface of the Ninja grill plates. Dawn Powerwash helps, but I still have to do a bit of scrubbing and have to wash the inner container and the filter screen pretty much any time I use it. Therefore, I often find a different cooking method is preferred.

---

All that being said, I love it for burgers and steaks. I have never used the Air Fryer function since I have another stand-alone air fryer plus I often like to air fry while my protein is cooking in the Ninja.

I have the air fryer/ grill combo. I have the xl which isn't all that xl. I love it. I use it several times a week. I have the one that has the thermometer for the grill and steaks come out perfect. You just enter the doneness that you want. All meats come out great. Even hot dogs. You won't be sorry. I have the Ninja xl six in one. I also air fry lots of veggies that come out great. This isn't the one that flips up tho. It does take up counter space. I like this one because you can air fry a whole chicken up to around 4 1/2 pounds. Breast down. It comes out just like a rotisserie chicken.

Re: Anybody with a Ninja Foodi Air Fryer/Grill?

We bought the oven that flips and we also bought the original grill. I rarely used the oven and having two appliances on the counter plus our coffeemaker was way too much. I eventually put the oven away and upgraded to the XL grill. I use the grill often, the air fryer feature occasionally. It all depends on what's on the menu. It does a great job on steaks, chops, burgers, chicken breasts, wings. I've never used it for bacon because I do an entire package at a time in the big oven. I've used the griddle feature a few times, but a skillet on the stove works fine for me. Our son has the flip oven and original grill. He uses the oven more.

We have that product. Love it! Use it so much. From air frying, grilling, and baking, it's great. Use several times a week. Easy clean up.

Re: Anybody with a Ninja Foodi Air Fryer/Grill?

I just bought the Ninja Foodie 9 in one air fryer toaster oven last week , and sadly need to return it. It is not tall, but it is very wide and I just don't have the space on my countertop...and it is very heavy so not something I can keep in a cabinet and pull in and out when I use it.
