Anybody in to Making Their Own Smoothies?

I recently bought a Nutri Ninja 1000 Watt Pro Blender w/NutritionGuide&Recipes Cobalt, and for the past three days, have been making my own smoothies.

On Saturday I made a spinach, kale, pineapple, banana smoothy, where I added coconut water and chia seeds.

Yesterday I made a carrot (with the tops added!) and cherry tomato & pinapple smoothie with hemp water and sunflower seeds.

Today I made a cilantro and broccoli and green grape smoothie with coconut water and chia seeds.

Tomorrow, who knows?

It's fun to throw different things together and see how it turns out.

I'm doing this to incorporate more fruits and veggies in to my diet.

So, anybody here make their own smoothies?

Re: Anybody in to Making Their Own Smoothies?

Yes, I have one almost every morning. I make all different kinds but I love to use kale or some type of green and I am big into ginger and flax seed. I usually use some protein powder or greek yogurt. I use a lot of different veggies and fruits, I change it up constantly. I buy a whole bunch of bananas and freeze them. I freeze most of the fruit too instead of adding ice cubes which dilutes it a bit.

Yes. Since the 1970's I've made smoothies.

I've made plenty of smoothies with my Vitamix but I can't stomach all that green stuff. I use an envelope or scoop of Andrew Lessman's Secure, some frozen banana, big scoop of plain yogurt, pineapple or strawberries, I have chia seeds if I think of them, some ice. Might add some carrots.

That one I could drink (and like) I'm okay with most fruit combinations.

I love vegetables but not liquified.

Re: Anybody in to Making Their Own Smoothies?

Yes:

Kale about a Cup

Avocado 1/2

Orange Juice 2/3 Cup

Greek Plain Yogurt 1/2 Cup

Chia seeds tablespoon

Banana

Water if needed.

I have this about 3 or 4 times a times a week.

If I have berries I throw them in as well or a peeled apple. I change out the Kale as good as Kale is you really should not be eating it everyday.

I have been following a somewhat Paleo diet since my Gastric Bypass surgery back in 2006. I like this combo and it helps to get you going in the morning.

I do, but not as fancy as your example.

FF yogurt, fruit, a splash of milk or OJ, and a bit of honey for sweetness. Bliss.
