What party would that be? He is certainly...NO conservative.

this was in reference to his dancing on last nights show.

Yeah that Christie bridge closing was laugh a minute especially for emergency vehicles ):

It wasn't funny. I think it will be his downfall ultimately, on the national scene at least.

No, it wasn't funny. How anyone can so carelessly play games and potentially jeopardize health or lives of fellow citizens is beyond my comprehension. No matter which "side" it's on.

He's right, he probably could beat HC in a dance contest.

The Republican party. That's the one he belongs to.

i'm an independent and both parties have their fill extremists.

there's a middle ground and if we were all to meet there then we would be much better off as a country and as a people.

I live in NJ and closing a few on-ramps to a bridge as political payback is nothing. I've seen businesses forced to close, denied permits to expand, have existing permits revoked, hit with fines and penalties for issues that are typically ignored, all for backing the wrong candidate in an election. By NJ standards doing something as lame as closing a few on-ramps for a few days is nothing. If Chris Christie wasn't in line as a possible presidential candidate, this would have been laughed off. People are trying to blow this up into the biggest scandal in the history of the world and by NJ standards, it's nothing.

Paul Moriarty, a NJ assemblyman, was accused of drunk driving after being set up by a NJ police officer who had supported his opponent in an election. The officer tried to smear Moriarty, but the dashboard camera came to Moriarty's rescue and showed that Moriarty's side of the story was true and the officer's wasn't. That should be a far bigger story than a few lane closures.

This is not an especially "clean" state. I'm not sure if dirty politics was born here, but it's certainly found a home here. A few lane closures in NJ would typically be considered amateurish in terms of political payback. When you've seen businesses forced to close, people lose their jobs, people have their integrity smeared, then the inconvenience of a few traffic delays as political payback starts to look as minor as it truly was. I can assure you that far, far worse political payback has been done and is continuing to be done in this state. And I should point out that there is still absolutely no evidence that Christie played any role in the lane closings, or even knew of the lane closings. Much as Moriarty was smeared for something he didn't do, Christie is being smeared for something the evidence indicates he knew nothing about.

I think Gov. CC is probably cringing about his bit with Jimmy.

You think so? It certainly wasn't spontaneous.
