Re: Anybody Going to Go to the Dentist When They Re-Open?

This is strange. My DDS just got off the phone with me. He called to check on us. He is contacting all of his older patients to see if they are OK

We talked for a bit. He told me he still goes to his office every day and takes emergency patients. They schedule them so there aren't 2 people in the office at the same time

He is a wonderful man and a kind and charitable person. I think I have the best DDS in the entire world. He wanted to be sure we had food ,and weren't sick. I told him about my next door neighbors ,and he seemed very concerned. He asked if we had been near them at all, and I said no

This too shall pass everyone. Hang in there

I'm trying to figure out what to do about my dental appointment too. Mine is cancelled and I never put off my dental hygiene but have to now. I don't know when I will feel comfortable going back.

Yes, I'll be going when the office reopens. I had appointment  last week which of course was cancelled.

Re: Anybody Going to Go to the Dentist When They Re-Open?

I was due for my 6 month teeth cleaning in April.  Hadn't actually scheduled it yet when all of this happened.  I definitely won't be going there as soon as things open up again.  I've always been so careful about dental hygiene, but none of that matters if I'm 6 feet under, so I think I'll wait a while.

I had a cleaning appt cancelled due to the virus.  When my dentist closed his office he gave me his cell phone number in case of emergency.

Yes....my 6 mo. check up was last week....I will go in as soon as they open and will put me on the schedule.  I hope I don't have to wait long to get in!

Yes. I'm in the process of switching to a new practice and am overdue for a visit. Plus, I've chipped a molar somehow, and while it doesn't hurt, the rough edge is a bit bothersome. I had an appointment scheduled for this upcoming week. They canceled it and said to call if I had an emergency, otherwise they will reschedule my appointment as soon as they are able.

It's not the cleanliness of the office that would concern me, it's the Covid-19 status of the personnel in the office.

Fortunately, I had my six-month checkup right before the stuff hit the fan -- my root coloring and trim also.

But if I hadn't I would probably put off a checkup and only go in if I had a problem.

I just went in late February - I'm good until August/Sept.

Both the hygienist and the dentist and his nurse wear face masks ... not concerned about it at all.
