Re: Any thoughts for the new year?

We are typically in bed by 8pm.  I dread NYE because of all the fireworks and the loud BOOMS!  My poor little dog is going to be terrified all night long.  I almost cry thinking about how bad it will be.

@Porcelain

I'm with you in that I must work alone in puzzling.

Many years back, my husband bought a long, narrow table that had extensions on both sides.  It has been in our living room for years with just a Tiffany lamp.  Now, we use that table for our puzzling.  He cut large pieces of foam board so we have a foundation for working, and we can complete the puzzle without a problem.  Then, we just flip it into a frame and it's ready to hang!  So much fun.

I had never done a puzzle before last year and then he started one I hadn't opened.  Next thing I knew, we had puzzles everywere!  I started with 1000 piece puzzles and most had a haunted house or Halloween theme.

To me, it's fun to work on in between other tasks and relaxes my mind.  Even though I fuss and fume while doing it, I do enjoy it.
