Any suggestions for a first timer at Sanibel Island?

I am taking a client to Red Sox training camp tomorrow. We have Friday off (no games) and I noticed that Sanibel was very close to Ft. Myers.

I thought we could get some seashells and have lunch, preferably at an outdoor place.

We are flying in from cities still covered with snow & ice and I thought being in the sun would be a nice change of pace.

Any ideas?
