A neighbor asked me to help with a rabbit in the road and left me with it, it can not move back legs. When I went to get it out of the road it managed to pull itself off the road a bit with his/her front paws. So, I scooped it up and have it in the garage in a box of straw with some wet vegies and fruit. It is still breathing its been a few hours now, I am just trying to keep it quiet and unstressed.
I am looking for tips on what I can do personally. There are no wildlife rehab people that can help me, the local agency is very very slow. Humane Society will come out and give it shot and I thought I would give it a chance, I guess rabbits are very prone to back-leg injuries.
ANy helpful advice here? I am not going to go run a huge vet bill up because I cant right now.
