Any helpfull hints on how to get Cookie and FuManChu to get along better

Tomorrow is 1 month since we rescued Foo.Cookie is not happy.She has never been one to like anyone but Buddy was so sweet that she eventually tolerated and then became friends with him.Foo wants to play and Cookie just growls and hisses.Foo is persistent and follows her and its making her angry.We have left therm alone many times and for hours and luckily no bloodshed.They share food bowls,eating seperately and they share a litterbox fine.Any ideas on how to get Cookie to clam down some and just accept Foo.Cat nip has no affect on her.Cookie has been through alot in the past 2 months with the loss of Buddy then Lucy and now we have Foo.I should have waited but we came upon Foo who really needed a home and is a sweet boy.Thanks for any help.
