I am reading The Black House, by Peter May, set in Scotland, good mystery. Also Whispers O f The Dead, by Simon Beckett.

If you like historical mysteries Susanna Gregory has two series set in England. I think her Matthew Bartholomew set in Cambridge (starts at the time of the black plague) is the best. Her second is set in restoration England.

My #1 fave is John Sandford. Lucas Davenport series, Virgil Flowers series, and his Kidd series. I think I like Virgil the best, altho Lucas is a strong contender.

#2 is Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child's Pendergast series. Creepy, a little magical, and lots of fun. Started with Relic which was made into a great movie in 1997. There are now 15 books in the series. Love, love!
