Any Hairstylists Out There?

I purchase over-the-counter shampoo, and I need color-safe shampoo. I've heard that sulfates make your color fade fast. So many of them say "sodium laurel sulfate," and someone told me that sodium laurel sulfate is the only safe sulfate it and won't make your hair color fade. Anyone know for sure? Thanks!
