Another term besides "boyfriend"?

I'm a 45 year old mother of six, some adults, and I have a live in "boyfriend". I feel so weird staying that. Is there another term I could use refering to him? He is a great guy and is so great with my children. His family has welcomed us all and we love them. Thanks!
