Well then how do you explain how we have a surplus of jobs and also no significant decrease in unemployment?

 

Folks get the $300 a week in addition to unemployment benefits.  Maybe the $840 after taxes, transportation and child care expenses - not to mention the inconvenience of having to do the job - make it more appealing to stay home.

There are ways around things and there were ways to evict people even during Covid.
