Re: Another passenger missing from a cruise ship!

There should just be a cruise line designated to people who CHOOSE to jump ship... make it easy for everyone... It could be called the CRUISE TO ETERNITY..... that way the jumpers would not ruin other passengers vacations. People who chose suicide are so selfish and think only about themselves. I have no pity for them. They leave behind a mess of hurt and pain.... it does not clear things up. It really leaves a lingering hurt for those affected by the death. I know this from personal reasons....

Never heard of any that do. Alcohol sales are typically where they rake in $$$$.

I haven't either. I went on quite a few cruises, but it's been a while. Maybe things have changed.

Well, I suppose it's free if you abandon ship since you settle up at the end.

So, is this about two different stories - one where a guy just vanished and one where a guy jumped ship?

It does seem like it happens more and more, in one way or another. I never really heard this sort of thing until that one story a while back about a guy who disappeared and there was blood on a lower deck - bunch of guys partying in their cabin - woman outside the cabin drunk. That's about all I remember, but it looked like he was murdered and thrown overboard while partying.

Re: Another passenger missing from a cruise ship!

We got lots of receipts for liquids and alcohol. They add the bills to the room, and I paid the bill when checking out. I believe soda etc. was free with buffet. Alcohol was always billed. Sure you can pay at the bar if you want to. Most just add it to their room.

What a horrible statement, but not unexpected coming from you. People who eventually attempt or commit suicide need help. They do not have the mental capacity to think about what it will do to those left behind !!

Very few cruises offer endless free alcohol.....and if they do the price for the cruise is astronomical.

On Princess you can purchase beverage/bar packages for a set price per day that includes alcohol.

Too much alcohol - too low railings.

I've been on lots of different cruise ships and it takes a concerted effort to "accidentally fall overboard". I have never seen a railing low enough to fall over on any major large scale cruise ship.

I have seen my share of idiots climb up on a railing to get a better photo or view over the side, however.
