I can't say what it would take or the thread will go down. This makes me sick. The school actually seems to have been prepared.

They are confident that there was only one shooter, according to presser right now.

One confirmed deceased, the shooter, a student.

I only have 7 more months of public school until son graduates. But still get an occasional "alert" on my cell, home and email from daughter's university when there is a "threat". And after high school, college . . . then there will be the workplace shootings. AWFUL. Never ending.

Qwacker--one morning I was watching the news and they talked about a fatal car accident in the town that my son lives in (local to me). They named his car model as the car involved, but of course did not say WHO it was that was killed.

I freaked. It was 5:30 in the am. I called him. No answer. I kept calling-- he was sleeping, but fine. I was so sick to my stomach that morning.

Channel 5 in Phoenix is reporting 3 injuries, the shooter dead by suicide.

I just got home and saw this....so very sad. I wish I could believe that something will be done to alleviate all these situations, but I'm not holding my breath.
