One fool trying to outdo the last one.
Welcoming in a baby and taking out people in the process.
@threecees So true... And if invited, I wouldn't go. More or less the ultimate in self indulgent stupidity...

Doesn't anyone like the element of surprise any more when it comes to a birth?!

@lOVETOSHOP, I would have loved finding out before I gave birth. But I doubt I'd consider making a party of it.

This entire "gender reveal" lunacy doesn't make much sense to me. I honestly do not understand why this has become such a production.

who cares as long as the baby and mother are both safe, healthy and happy after delivery.

I've never heard of this practice, and if you want to hear real insanity, I thought when I read the first few posts that someone was celebrating changing from one gender to the pink one, which I think of as female. I kid you not.
Dumping a bunch of colored water from a plane to announce the biological gender of an unborn child is just overkill and seems pretty stupid. I thought people young enough to procreate were concerned about their carbon footprints. Texting would have done the trick without the environmental impact, in all senses of the term, judging from the photo of the plane. ![]()

What struck me odd was the fact that the plane crashed AFTER it dropped the 350 gallons of pink water. If the plane was a single seat aircraft. How was it able to get off the ground and fly with 350 gallons of pink water AND an additional passenger.
And it crashed after getting rid of the weight of the pink water.

@drizzellla It was a crop duster type plane so presumably it was built to carry heavy loads to some degree.
As for crashing after the drop, maybe the sudden drop and loss of weight caused the pilot to lose control of the plane. After all, a crop duster doesn't normally drop all at once like that.

What's wrong with finding out the gender of your child the good old fashioned way....at birth! I chose not to know my childrens gender. I waited, with excitement, when I gave birth. I just don't know why today's culture chooses to ruin the fun of having a baby!
