Do you think QVC has so many food items about to expire  they're having all these "food shows".  Wish they'd bring back the real cooking shows like back in the day.

To answer your question @coffee drinker , no, I do not believe the food is about to expire. Many, if not most, items today are advanced order.

I have ordered many food items and have been very satisfied with most every order. I have never received items with an expiration date in the near future.

@cjm61 My post was "tongue in cheek".  No, I do not believe QVC sells expired food or close to expire dated food.  It's just there have been I believe 2 of these food shows on Sundays within the past (I believe) 4 weeks.  I just wish David would do some real cooking occasionally.

@coffee drinker  Between ITKWD and now Gourmet Holiday, I'm sick of the food programming. I was hoping David would have some new kitchen items geared toward gifting. It's fun to give unique kitchen gadgets like the pull and chop and the Kuhn Rikon can opener. Food items are easy for QVC, because the items are shipped from the producer, and QVC doesn't really have to worry about the logistics.

It's Christmas in July programming. The holidays always bring on the endless food shows. People are pre-ordering their Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts.

I read an article that said food was a big money maker for the Q.

Expect to see more of that if that's all the money they're making these days.

@coffee drinker Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought they, David/Itwd, redid the kitchen show stage/format for Wednesday nights so they were going to stress more cooking/utensils/things like that.

@coffee drinker  Not sure we'll ever see the old days similar to Bob Bowersox stirring away at his pot in one of the collection for sale of cookware talking about his former crepe restaurant.

I liked those days, even went to an In the Kitchen with Bob weekend in PA, it was great.  Now the food items are probably the big $ ticket and it works for a lot of people.

@cjm61   Here's a fun question, what are some of your favorite food items?  I re-ordered for advance shipment Corky's bacon wrapped turkey with stuffing inside, love those.  Pretty happy with Enstrom & Moonshine sweets, keep that to a minimum though.  Love LonoLife and Rush drinks, work very well nutrition wise. Smiley Happy

I want to see where that new company Wellington LA goes.  I didn't want that "center" cut beef wellington today, not sure what that means.  I've tried Rastelli's filet wellingtons, not great.  Have you tried those?

Hi @rockygems123 Oh my goodness, I have never tried the Beef Wellingto but the food items we love?

1) Huge favorite is Jimmy the Baker Cinnamon Crumbcakes (my entire family loves these and asks for them all the time)

2) Heartland Fresh chicken fried chicken (my son-in-law loves these so much he has ordered them himself)

3) Cheryl's cookies

4) Mrs. Prindables apples (however, they don't seem quite as good as they once were, we like nuts and chocolate and now they are mostly little candies or sprinkles)

5) Egg Harbor Coconut battered  Mahi Mahi

6) Rastelli's chicken bites

7) Landie's stuffed pretzels (must get the stuffed kind or they aren't that great)

8) Just Bagels (really loved the hash brown ones)

9) BNutty holiday edition (I never tried them but gave them as gifts and people said they were SO good)

10) Curtis Stone Chicken Bites (HSN)

11) Salmon

I did buy Corky's ribs to be shipped to my parents as a gift. I don't know how good they were.
