I'm waiting to hear back from Amazon now. I'd ordered the components for my new computer from them on Saturday and they were supposed to be delivered Monday. Then I got a notice that the order was "undeliverable" and I'd be refunded in 48 hours. I then reordered most of the stuff and got it last night and early this morning. Then around ten o'clock this morning UPS delivered the "undeliverable" package. So, I've got two motherboards, two m.2 drives, two sets of memory, and two USB drives with Windows 10 on them. There's about $500-$600 in stuff that I now have two of. So, fun. The "undeliverable" package arrived with the box unsealed, but everything was there. I've got a request in for a callback and I also reached out to the jeff@amazon.com email address where complicated issues get handled. We'll see what happens.

They might just ask you to keep it because they might think something was wrong with it after it was stated as undeliverable.

I've gotten so many free things from Amazon that sometimes I ask the Rep why? Just last week I ordered 2 clippers for a barber friend of mine and only one was delivered. They credited 2 and said to keep the other one and of course I asked why? They were $54 apiece.

For the first time I can remember I had to return something to Amazon.  Logged onto the website and arranged for a return.  Was able to drop it off at our local Whole Foods.  That was yesterday.  Today I have my credit.  Obviously, they know the item is being returned but they don't wait to actually receive the item to reimburse the customer.   QVC are you listening????

@kaydee50   I also did my first return for 3 denim jackets.  I took my jackets to the UPS store.  I was told NOT to package them up that they would handle it.  I paid nothing for the return, received my money back within 3 hours and ordered 1 size larger the same day.  Two days later I had the new ones that fit great.  Can't ask for better service.

I also had my AC replaced last week and it takes a different size filter.  I ordered them while they where here replacing it and I had them in 1 hr.  That is service.

QVC has a lot to learn from Amazon.  Amazon has faster shipping and faster returns.

@CoffeeNut    Amazon also has a special deal with the USPS that no other retailer in the US has, giving them an unfair advantage.  If I owned a business that did a lot of shipping, I'd be highly POed.  Probably costs the rest of us too.  The post office is so busy processing priority Amazon mail, they don't seem to have time to deliver QVC packages.

This is only for USPS' Sunday delivery and it's not in all markets @Kachina624 .  Other companies are free to negotiate deals with USPS if they can afford it.  USPS will work with anyone (they need the money).

Even before Amazon had drop off centers, and used the USPS for returns, your account was often refunded before you even got home from dropping off your return.

QVC has the ability to do this too even if they aren't as big as Amazon, I would think.  It's just a matter of scanning and tracking.

I'm not sure why it takes them sooooooo long to credit a return.

This is a fact!  Boy should I know.  They do this so that they free up your $$ to repurchase on their site.  Especially if your return is because it didn't fit/was damaged or something along those lines.

@kaydee50    Definitely faster, but Amazon does own WF so it's automatically inside Amazon when you drop it off.

Probably helps that Amazon is many times larger than QVC.

It is actually the other way around QVC is the largest retailer in the US. I just posted that in another comment section.

"Amazon, Facebook, TikTok and a growing number of venture-backed startups are all seeking to replicate QVC's success selling stuff via live demos and time-pressured promotions. But the original home shopping is still way ahead—for now

Qurate, with 22 million active customers, is the largest in the U.S. by far and still growing, adding 7.6 million new shoppers during 2020. Shares of Qurate,  have delivered total returns of 300% in the past 12 months."  Forbes

Walmart is the largest retailer in the U.S @Bhvbum
