I love Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream.... Well, I found Aldi's version called "Thank you Cherry Much", packaged much like Ben & Jerry's version.  It is so good and tastes just like the Ben and Jerry's.  Another reason I love Aldi's!

@ballyk - you will LOVE Aldi - you can buy twice the amount of groceries for the same money.  Panera is the best also - I bet your town is excited!

I think I must be the only person in the world that was not impressed with Aldi's, unless it's just our location.

I've heard that their items are foreign made.  That's too scary for me.

Why? Their pastas and many sauces are made in Italy, and they use many products made in Germany and Austria. Many countries would be afraid of all the ****** the FDA lets us put in our food. We don't even come close to being the best or the safest food wise. Now if you were talking about China, I could undertand. They have some great stuff like cookies and candies around Christmas time too. You should give it a try, they have GREAT STUFF! The chocolates are great!

I got a SILPAT liner for $3.99 and a digital thermometer for $4.99. It is the kind that you can put into the meat (or whatever you are cooking) and it has a magnet that goes on the oven door. You can set the temp and it beeps when done. I have seen this priced around $30 everywhere else.

Aldi is a German company so it makes sense that some of their products are made in Europe.  I love their German chocolates and desserts.  They're as good as much more expensive stuff that we get in regular supermarkets.
