I always detested the summer and I have a pool in my backyard too and I swim also. Does not sweeten the pot for me. I hate to bust so many peoples bubbles here but, the sun is not good for you... gives you skin cancer and wrinkles. There is nothing good to me about the summer. I am also counting down to fall/winter the colder the better I only go out these days when it is necessary, too hot and too humid for me. Yuck.. Embrace the summer? Not me!

PA too, love it, love it, love it! I've been out walking in it over lunch and it's wonderful to be able to walk in the sun. I am such a hot weather girl. When it even gets too hot for me, I'll go jump in the pool for a while.

I hate snow and I hate being cold. I truly love summer and the heat. My DH says he can actually see my mood improve as it gets warmer outside. We don't have AC and I don't want it. I never use AC in my car either; I just get in, start it up, open the moon roof and go.

Oh Good Grief! I rather shovel snow... very unhealthy weather... remember wrinklies, skin cancer. And the best part the flies and the bugs. I am counting down too .. O/P.

I agree with PamSue72 .. I LOVE summer and hot weather!  This past weekend it was in the low 90's and I was out on my deck with a book, one of my favorite summertime things to do.  We have AC in the house, but I usually have to put a sweater on.  The AC is never on in my car, I just open the windows and let the air blow thru.  I want to ring as much out of summer as I can before I start freezing again!

I grew up in the north, never knew there were places that didn't have cinders in their garages and snow blocking streets and driveways.  Now that we are in the south, GIVE ME SUMMER ANY DAY!  The flowers, the trees, the long evenings, the sounds and smells of summer, LOVE IT!!

I'm with you!!  Autumn is my favorite season, followed by Spring.  I'm not into the extreme weather associated with Summer and Winter. Unfortunately, living in the northeastern U.S., we seem to experience more of the extremes and less of the moderate temps.

I like summer because of my love of the ocean. Do not like the humidity. Every year it gets worse. I do not like having to stay in because of the hot weather and that makes Fall my favorite season. We all need to just enjoy the good parts whatever they may be. Did I say that? It isn't always easy is it?

Lol, I'm weighing in from the great state of Michigan to say I feel you :-)

In my case, I have a theory about it.  I was born at the end of August and think I was somehow 'marked' to like fall because that was the first full season I was aware of once I left my mother, he he.

It's either tthat or something superficial like I prefer fall and winter clothing and footwear, rofl.

Seriously though, I don't fare well in extreme heat, it just drains me.

January through June is the hottest 6 months on record and it'll only get worse.
