I recently placed an order on a QVC clothing item (skinny tees) and never received the item. It was supposed to be delivered via USPS last Friday according to the tracking provided on-line. Friday came and went and here it is a week later and I have not seen this package. I was here on Friday at the exact time it said it was delivered AND the days before and after. I retrieve the mail minutes after it is delivered. I didn't view the on-line tracking until Monday and realized the package should have been here. I called my local post office and of course, they say it was delivered. My postal carrier was within earshot of my conversation with who I was on the phone with. She did not get on herself but recollected something she dropped off (I order from other places also) and said to check the "back" of the mailbox - it might have been pushed back. I went out and checked yet again, no package. Where is my package? It was NOT delivered to my door or mailbox on the said date of on-line tracking and has not shown up since. I called a toll-free # listed for the USPS - they took down my information and phone number. They gave me a case # and said I would hear from someone from my local post office within 24 hours regarding my issue. Of course, nothing - no call. Once again - where is my package? My packing slip information and the clothing is somewhere and I'm annoyed that it was "delivered" - but not to me. I called QVC CS and of course they are always helpful and making good on the problem. I plan on doing a lot more ordering for the holidays and I'm worried over receiving items. I feel like I got the brush off from the post office. I don't want to get accusatory or get my carrier in any kind of trouble, but I want to know where that package went to and I am not getting anywhere with the USPS. Has anyone had this happen and if so, what did you do?

Well I had a birthday card that was sent back to my parents because usps couldn't find my house. They deliver my other mail, but on this particular day my house must have been invisible.

My packages, however, are left down at the mail box (last winter in the snow drift) behind my grill that is next to my garage. They don't deliver to my porch. Oh, but I've received "unable to deliver" notes even though I was home the entire day and my dogs didn't happen to bark one time (when anyone ever comes near the door). So they lied and never bothered to try.

Maybe I should get a security camera and point it at my mailbox.

I ordered some Spanx last spring and they never arrived - the tracking information was also never done. I called QVC and they credited my credit card in full.

The summer before I ordered a necklace that did not come - no tracking - prettry much the same story - QVC sent me another one and about 3 months later the first one appeared so I returned it. Those are not really QVC's fault - it is the USPS or UPS's error I'm sure.

I have to say that in both cases QVC bent over backward to make me happy.

She delivered your package to the wrong house, it's happened to me. My package was left at the house of my neighbor whose last name begins with the same letter as mine.

I got an empty box once. It was supposed to have an iPod Touch inside. You could still see the imprint of the iPod package on the packing receipt. But, no iPod to be found.

I could write a book on my issues with the USPS. And, when you file a complaint, the manager from your local office will call your home and make you feel like you are some sort of a criminal. That said, UPS hasn't been that great recently either.

If you order something and it doesn't arrive, you are not responsible. The burden of proof is on the sender. And, if they don't require that you sign for the package, they need to refund your money or send out another item.

It's a no brainer, the Usps mail carrier delivered it to the wrong house. If the person is honest, she'll take it back to the p.o. or put it in her box with note attached.

Yes, it happens. Packages get delivered to the wrong house and not everyone returns the package to the post office or the correct address. Wait a few days to see if it turns up. QVC will give you a refund if you don't get the item. This is why it's best to use a credit card for such purchases. You can dispute the charge since you are not obligated to pay for items you have not received.

ETA: It's been my experience that delivery agents (Post Office, UPS, etc.) sometimes fib a little with their parcel status. Very often I've checked delivery tracking and the items states it was delivered, but I don't have it. It then gets delivered properly the next day or so. Very rarely a package goes into oblivion: the delivery date passes, but no tracking update and no package. I've printed out the tracking info and taken it to the post office. The clerk goes in the back room and brings out the missing package with no explanation. They just shrug when I ask why it wasn't brought to me. Anything goes.

I agree with the posters that said USPS delivered to the wrong house! You can always change your delivery to UPS for the same S/H, not that they don't make mistakes, at least you have tracking numbers and they are responsible for leaving at wrong address!

The USPS is very careless these days and really don't care!

I sent an Affinity ring back by insured USPS (out of my pocket) and for some reason it sat at a post office in Philadelphia for days, but I had to contact the Postmaster of my local post office before I was able to find out! When they contacted the Philadelphia PO, it was finally delivered to QVC! I will never buy anything that expensive from the Q again!
