Our Phoenix station is saying there will be an announcement in 2 hrs; probably that Prince Phillip has died (95, RIP).

Seems like I saw pictures of him at a horse event last week-end.  He lived a long, interesting life.

This isn't a baby announcement.  All the Queens staff (whichever properties they are at) have been told too attend (very unusual).  More likely it's Phillip but could even be the Queen.  Drudge is saying it probably isn't an abdication .

Various sources are assuring people both Prince Philip and the Queen are alive.

But I have no idea how open they are about what's going on.  They have called all necessary home.

There won't be any official announcement until 8 am London time.  That's been the protocol for public announcements for as far back as I can remember.  (I have family in England.)

There are alleged "leaks" about various things all over the place.  Clearly, we'll just have to wait and see.
