What is it with people and gift cards? Every occasion someone, many ones advise a bossy gift card that requires the person to go somewhere or do something whether they want to or not.

There are all sorts of places, B&M as well as online where people sell their gift cards for a fraction of what they are worth. If Gift Cards were all that people wouldn't be getting rid them for less than their face value.

Who pe#d in your Cheerios this morning? Always scolding people here!{#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

LOLOL! {#emotions_dlg.lol} Haven't you heard? They made a new flavor especially for DownPour! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Personally, I'll take all the bossy gift cards anyone wants to give me.

OMG!!! i can't even remember what i was about to post after seeing that name!!!{#emotions_dlg.lol}{#emotions_dlg.lol}

How about a gift card or certificate to their favorite restaurant?

This would be my choice too! Why would you give a bottle of wine to someone who doesn't drink it???

We give ourselves a gift (usually a trip) on our anniversary. Close family and friends send good wishes. I would not want a party. They're usually hosted by the couple's kids and are nothing more than a gift grab. Who cares how long someone has been married? It doesn't mean anything. Many people just can't work up the energy to get divorced.

What to give as an anniversary gift? You can't be serious.

If they are close friends, you must know what they like. Unless it is a milestone anniversary, I'd bring a small personal gift.
