Beautiful. The actress and the coin.

I just got one in change the other day. It's a beautiful coin. Actors, writers and dancers are a huge part of the American Experience and culture. Why not commemorate them on money?

There is a wonderful children's picture book titled "Shining Star: The Anna May Wong Story. Her impact on cinema is finally receiving the attention it deserves.

I like the variety of postage stamps.
I don't like actors, writers, dancers, athletes... on my money. Put them on stamps where they belong.
If you happen upon one of those quarters, will you spend it, or look at it and be mad about it? @occasionalrain

@sunshine45 Not to be sexist, there is another wonderful children's book you might consider. The title is Baseball Saved us by Ken Mochizuki; it focuses on a baseball team formed in an internment camp during WWII. Another great one about baseball is We Are the Ship, an overview of the Negro Baseball Leagues.

If I were mad about it, I would have said that.
I just find it inappropriate to use currency in this manner. We have been using stamps for that.
I also think it's a slippery slope. Who's deserving, who's not? Will there be a Tom Brady quarter, US Olympic gold medalists quarters, a Truman Capote quarter, a Henry Ford quarter, a Jackson Pollock quarter...?
