Angel Food Cake

I posted in food with no answer and I need an answer now.....my angel food cake mix is baking in the oven in a bundt pan.....but the mixture was so high that it would not all fit in and so I put the rest of the mix in a stainless sauce pan........IS IT OK TO COOK THE REST OF THE MIX IN THE SAUCE PAN OF STAINLESS STEEL IN THE OVEN? It stays on the stove hotter than that and I needed another pan........I am taking this to church tonight. What did I do wrong? Thank you
