Thank you so much for this information. You made my night! I signed up too.

I have been looking for ways to volunteer to do something to help people, being I cannot volunteer to do physical type volunteering, due to my back problems. (DH and I usually donate money to various charities). But this will be physically doing something by sending cards, and knowing that this will cheer someone up at the holidays is wonderful!

I'm signing up too!  This is a wonderful project, and I love the whole tradition of writing out and sending Christmas cards (ever since I was a little girl)👧

I'm going to look into this too. I think what I had better do too, is this year, go through my address book and send to those I haven't in a few years. Geez, it's once a year, I think I will this year.

@Shorty2U, @AKgirl2, thank you both for signing up.  I hope that you enjoy this as much as those receiving cards.  I look forward to doing this every year.

@butterfly123, I usually write something like "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays."  No money should be sent, even though some probably do.  However, all we are asked to do is sign our name on the card.

I have been involved in this project for a few years and it really makes me appreciate everything that I have.

What a wonderful idea!  Too many people get caught up in all the hullabaloo of the holidays, stressing about shopping, preparing dinners, giving gifts, hosting parties, and forget there are too many people for whom the holidays are lonely and sad. It definitely does make one appreciate what one has.

@Mustang Shar, I am also submitting names from the assisted living facility where I volunteer.  It is surprising that so many in these facilities have no one in their lives except staff and the volunteers.

What a wonderful thing to do. I know first hand how sad and lonely this holiday is for so many. I signed up immediately. This has actually kind of made me look forward to something about the holiday!  Thank you so much.
